Why Join?

Let’s be honest. When you think of a sorority, you think of women in college. But we vowed to be Kappas beyond our college days and into the lives of families and careers.

Whether it’s to network, make new friends or find someone to support you through parenthood, we’re here and we want to help. Reconnect with Kappa by joining your local alumnae association today.

Why should I pay my alumnae dues?

Your dues ensure that the Salt Lake City Alumnae Association not only exists, but can continue Kappa's mission to provide leadership and growth opportunities for all its members. The association is solely financially supported by the dues payments of Kappas like you!

Remaining a part of the association allows you to continue and grow connections through Kappa for many years to come.

What do I get for paying my dues?

Besides knowing that you're supporting Kappa's mission for future generations here in Salt Lake, members in good standing receive the following:

  • Voting rights on official SLCAA business
  • Eligibility to serve as a SLCAA Officer or Chairman
  • Eligibility to serve on an Advisory or House Board*
  • Attendance and Discounts on Kappa Sanctioned Events

*Additional eligibility criteria may apply

Where does Dues Money Go?

Per Capita Fees: Per Capita fees go to the Fraternity, which pays for technology, Fraternity staff and Headquarters needs, publishing and distribution of The Key Magazine, as well as Chapter and Alumnae Association Support.

Association Operating Budget: The remaining funds go towards Alumnae Association programming, mail distribution, chapter support, philanthropy donations, operating expenses and sending delegates to the biannual Convention (even years).
